Hatching new scientists every day!

Week 3: Music and Sound

In the final week of the curriculum, children will use music and instruments to expand their understanding of the science of sound. They’ll make several of their own instruments, including a rubber band guitar, maracas, and a kazoo, and use them to experiment with pitch and volume. Children will also explore the cultural and emotional dimensions of music and why it’s important to us. On the final day of the sound curriculum, children will give a concert together, playing instruments they made themselves.
