Springing to Life

A spring day is a wondrous time for walking outside with your child. The world is alive with the sights, sounds, and smells of new life and plant growth.

While out on a walk, invite your child to use all of his senses to experience these "spring things."

What do you see? What do you hear? What do you smell?

If you are both feeling adventurous, look more closely for spring things by moving aside rocks and small piles of dead leaves in a yard, garden, or park.

What do you observe now?
