Exploring Your World

Talk with your child about being an explorer. What does it mean? What do explorers do? Explore a place in your neighborhood like the sidewalk, a playground, or the driveway.

Have fun pretending and dress the part, maybe wearing "explorers' hats." Take along some "supplies" like a notebook and markers, some small plastic jars and bags to collect interesting artifacts and plants you find, and snacks (exploring is hungry work!).

Follow your child's lead and see what you both find on your adventures!
