Listen for the sounds birds make as you watch and listen for them outside. Listen for how many different sounds you can hear. Listen for repeating sounds and new sounds.
What kinds of sounds can you hear? Are they long sounds or short sounds?
Invite your child to imitate the sounds of the birds as you join in.
