Review today’s explorations and ideas about color.

Review the “Shades of Color” chart. Ask, What do we mean when we say a color is a different shade? How did we make different shades? What did you notice? It is important here to emphasize the idea that a color, such as red, can come in different shades but still be red.

Review the “Colors Around Us” chart and add any new ideas children have. Ask: Today we were able to find some colors that matched each other exactly. Can you tell me what some of them were?  How did you figure out that they matched?

Pass out the Family Science Letter on color, and tell children that there are lots of color explorations that they can do together with their families. Ask them to tell the group during Morning Circle about any discoveries they make about color at home.
