Go over the “Blending Colors/Contrasting Colors” chart and review the ideas children added after watching Hide and Go Peep, looking at Animal Disguises, playing Snake Hide and Seek, and talking about Mouse Paint. Review new vocabulary, including blending, camouflage and disguise. Ask, Which animal disguise was your favorite? Why did you like it?
Then say, We’ve talked a lot about colors that blend together today. Can you think of some contrasting colors we saw—colors that did NOT blend in, but stood out? Do you remember when Chirp tried to hide in the yellow flowers? Why was it easy to find her?
