Share the Day’s Discoveries

Talk about what children observed and discovered while mixing blue and yellow. Write any new ideas and information on the “Mixing New Colors” chart. 

Ask a volunteer to draw the blue-yellow-blue pattern on the “Our Ideas about Color” chart. Ask:

• Did anyone try any other patterns with these two colors? Can you show us what they were?
• What if I gave you the colors red and yellow—what kind of pattern could you create out of those?
• Are any of us wearing clothes with interesting color patterns on them? How are they similar to the pattern we have up here?
