Review today’s activities and add to the Loud/Soft and High/Low charts. Review the Loud/Soft and High/Low charts with children and talk about different kinds of sounds they heard today.

  • You may want to repeat the song you sung earlier, imitating making loud, soft, high, and low sounds.
  • Play some of the recordings of their voices and ask them to identify and describe the sounds. Can they recognize everyone by their voices?
  • Ask children about songs or musical groups they like—do they think these groups sound loud or soft, and do they sing high or low—or both?
  • Ask them to pay attention to loud, soft, high, and low sounds when they go home today, and to tell their families what they heard in the morning circle.
