Week 3: Ramps, Rides, and Roller Coasters

Children will invent ramps that jump, swerve, zigzag, and send balls up and down. They’ll build ramps that are increasingly more complex, including roller coasters with turns and hills and ramps that cause balls to fly in the air.  On the final day of the ramps unit, children will plan and design an amusement park, with games and rides based on the hands-on activities they’ve experimented with over the past three weeks.
