When you are out on a walk in the park or in the woods, experiment with distance using small stones, or nuts you collected from the ground. As you walk, invite your child to drop one pebble or nut at a time and make a path for you to follow on your way back. Did you make a long path or a short path? Can you follow the stones all the way back to where you started? Content Area: Location: Story: Recommended Books: Whistle for Willie by Ezra Jack Keats Good observers need good memories.
